  18. Action research practitioner improves education in general by incorporating changes in his teaching, so that learning objectives can be achieved in the class. Self reflection and peer evaluation plays an important role in improving the process.I have attributes which the Action Research demands as before going to teach in the class, I prepared my lesson plan in advance, keep the materials ready for demonstrations or activities to be performed in the class.I think openly and pen down what thing works well and what not and those which did not worked well, howit can be further improved.

  42. Kurt Lewin ’s approach of Action Research is a research method in which the researcher intervenes in and during the research. This serves two purposes: firstly, according to Kurt Lewin, it will bring about positive change and secondly knowledge and theory will be generated.
    The term was first suggested by Kurt Lewin as described. He described action research as ‘a comparative research on the conditions and effects of various forms of social action and research leading to social action’ that uses ‘a spiral of steps, each of which is composed of a circle of planning, action and fact-finding about the result of the action’.

For Action research one has to take care of a particular situation, if there is a need to change the way of practice in order to get better outcome in the form of understanding of the contents of the learners. It should be done systematically and scientifically in a very pre- planned way. It must be persuasive, collaborative, participatory i.e involve yourself and also take the views of other stakeholders. Always assess the outcome of the action research so that it could be derived that whether it would be beneficial to the students.

  67. To do Action Research, one should be willing to accept that there is a need for change in their approach to teaching. One should also not be afraid of trying out new methods of teaching. He/she should be able to try out multiple methods, because what we plan might not work, so we should be able to tweak it to suit our needs.     The basic quality an action research practitioner should have is problem solving attitude in an organised way and to implement the inference for testing.

    I am confident about my conviction to learn AR, I have already identified few problems in my school for AR. I am eager to plan, research, find the methodical solutions and test them to improve the system. If the outcome does not match with the objective, then I have to revisit the problem, review and start it all again or modify trajectory.

    Brain storming sessions can be had with colleagues to collect ideas to improve practice.
    Ideas can be shortlisted and practised.
    A time frame can be decided to test the efficiacy of the new practice.
    Review of the results of the new practice can be done after the expiry of the allotted time frame.
    On the basis of the review, the practice can be further strengthened or modified for better results.
